Sono rientrata ieri sera da Osaka, col gruppo degli atleti, con noi anche lei, la grandissima Antonietta.
Mi sembrava impossibile che non la riconoscessero tutti, giapponesi compresi.
Ho avvisato la nostra hostess della medaglia d'argento e ho chiesto se l'alitalia poteva complimentarsi con lei via microfono. Non se lo è fatto chiedere due volte,
il Capitano in persona l'ha ringraziata e il tutto è stato ripetuto in giapponese e in inglese trascinando in un bell'applauso i viaggiatori.
Credo che la sua gara, per chi l'ha vissuta, da vicino e non, sarà incaccellabile a vita dalla memoria.
Spero che le venga tributata la "dovuta" celebrità.
Ha trasmesso forza, grinta, determinazione, gioia, bellezza (altro che miss italia!), penso che nemmeno lei si renda conto di quanto ci ha regalato.
Lo stadio impazziva davanti a questa merravigliosa ragazza, di 15-20-25 cm più bassa delle altre, che come si staccava da terra per saltare diventava la più alta di tutte e che fino alla penultima misura era medaglia d'oro.
E' arrivata a Casa Italia dopo la gara, era lei che ringraziava tutti, è una che non dimentica chi le è stata vicino, non sa cosa sia la boria, la sua forza è anche questa.
E' una ragazza semplice e neanche la popolarità riuscirà a cambiarla, le volevamo bene prima e continueremo a volergliene.
Grazie davvero, ti aspettiamo ancora ad Aosta col tuo meraviglioso staff; con la tua presenza insegni a vivere, non solo a saltare!

Faccio una premessa .Spesso nel mondo dell'atletica ci troviamo di fronte a gente molto egoista e pretenziosa per le quali tutto è dovuto e se le cose vanno male è sempre colpa degli altrii.Molto spesso il campione ha come caratteristica intrinseca quella di essere e sentirsi al centro dell'attenzione e tutto gli è dovuto .Per questo tipo di atleta preoccuparsi degli altri è più un atto di magnanimità sua piuttosto che un qualcosa d'importante e doveroso.
Antonietta no !!!Lei è la campionessa dell'atletica che mi piace fatta di rispetto verso l'allenatore,il medico ,gli amici.Da lei traspare sempre una sincera umiltà che la rende estremamente simpatica e bella.
Sono veramente contento che questa volta abbia vinto quest'atletica.
